Project Insights
Spatial Logic & Flow
Designed as a weekend escape, the house embraces a warm and natural minimalism. Living, kitchen, and dining spaces flow gently into one another, creating a sense of ease and continuity. Exposed timber beams and generous proportions shape the main living area, where the piano becomes a natural part of everyday life.
Connection to the Garden & Daylight
Large openings frame views of the garden and allow daylight to flow deep into the house. Sliding doors soften the boundary between interior and exterior, encouraging everyday interaction with the garden. Warm woods, earthy fabrics, and soft tones create a balanced atmosphere, while in the private areas, arched forms and gentle lighting extend this calm into a quiet, spa-like retreat.
Bespoke Elements
Custom-designed furniture and built-in elements are integrated throughout the house to reinforce a sense of simplicity and harmony. Storage units, shelving, and seating are carefully proportioned to support daily rituals without visual clutter. Each bespoke detail is designed to feel understated, allowing the space to remain calm while subtly responding to the client’s lifestyle.
Materials & Mood
A restrained palette of natural materials defines the interior atmosphere. Timber, stone, linen, and textured plaster are layered in soft, muted tones to create warmth without excess. The material choices prioritize tactility and aging gracefully over time, reinforcing a timeless and intimate character throughout the house.

The home is conceived as a personal retreat, a place to disconnect from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with creativity and rest. Beyond functionality, the design responds to the client’s desire for quiet focus, emotional balance, and a strong relationship with nature.
