Project Insights
Spatial Logic & Flow
As a design resolution, soft curves replace sharp edges to establish a gentle spatial rhythm and encourage fluid movement between rooms.
Connection to Daylight
One of the main features of the residence is its expansive view of the Bosphorus; with the silhouette of the bridge subtly framing the horizon, the scenery becomes a natural extension of the interior atmosphere.
Bespoke Elements
A key requirement of the brief was to integrate generous storage throughout the house without disrupting the calm character of the design. We designed the walls as continuous, seamless surfaces that quietly absorb storage; keeping the space serene and clutter-free.
Materials & Mood
Materials were selected for their tactile quality and visual warmth, creating a contemporary and welcoming family home.
Client Intent
One of the main challenges was balancing openness with practicality; keeping the spaces light and minimal while providing ample storage and built-in functionality.
We addressed this through concealed storage and carefully detailed junctions, allowing functional elements to blend into the overall design so that the interiors feel effortless and inviting, without visual noise.
At the same time, the clients desired an open kitchen but were concerned about cooking odors. As a solution; flexible kitchen layout was created with sliding doors, where the cooking zone can be seamlessly enclosed or opened up, adapting to daily needs.
