Project Insights
Spatial Logic & Flow
The house is organized across three clearly defined levels, creating an intuitive balance between shared and private spaces. The garden level accommodates the main living and wellness areas with a direct connection to the landscape, while the middle floor is dedicated to the primary suite and its accompanying private spaces.
Guest bedrooms occupy the upper level, ensuring privacy while maintaining a clear and effortless circulation throughout the house.
Connection to Garden & Daylight
A double-height living space forms the heart of the house, bringing openness and natural light into the interior. Vertically sliding glazing systems allow the living area to open seamlessly onto the garden, dissolving the boundary between inside and outside.
The indoor pool extends seamlessly into the outdoor pool, forming a continuous body of water experienced as a single architectural element. Together with the generous glazing, this creates an uninterrupted relationship between architecture, landscape, and daylight while allowing the house to adapt naturally to seasonal changes.
Bespoke Elements
Bespoke architectural elements are carefully integrated throughout the house to support everyday living while preserving the calm character of the interiors. Concealed storage, custom-built joinery, and seamlessly detailed surfaces contribute to a refined spatial experience where functionality is quietly embedded within the architecture.
Materials & Atmosphere
Materials were selected to reflect the character of the surrounding forest while creating a warm and timeless interior. Natural wood, textured stone, deep-toned finishes, and carefully balanced lighting add richness without excess, revealing the depth and tactile quality of each surface.
Together, these elements create an atmosphere that feels grounded, intimate, and quietly sophisticated.
Client Intent
The clients envisioned a family home inspired by its forest surroundings, embracing bold tones, rich natural materials, and layered textures to create a warm yet distinctive atmosphere. The brief also called for generous spaces for everyday living, wellness, and entertaining, while maintaining a strong connection between the interior and the landscape.
In response, the design combines thoughtful spatial planning, seamless indoor–outdoor living, and a carefully curated material palette to create an immersive environment where expressive materials, natural richness, and contemporary family living exist in quiet balance.
